Bridging the gap between ambition and performance

SaGe Ascend is an operator-led revenue growth consultancy providing fractional CRO/CCO leadership and time-bound revenue acceleration for B2B services, SaaS and technology-enabled businesses.


I work with founders, CEOs, boards and investors to fix how the business goes to market and align teams around what actually drives predictable growth.

I founded SaGe Ascend to address a gap I saw repeatedly from inside growing B2B businesses: strong ambition at leadership level, capable teams on the ground - but a disconnect in how revenue is actually generated, forecast and scaled.

​

I have held CEO and CRO-level roles, led global go-to-market organisations, and worked across SaaS, data and insight platforms, and technology-enabled B2B services - including environments shaped by regulation and compliance, such as sustainability and ESG-driven sectors.

​

While sector context matters, my work focuses on the repeatable patterns that drive (or block) growth: how value is positioned, how revenue is generated and forecast, and how teams execute under pressure.

​

Too often, businesses know where they want to get to but struggle with the “how”. Growth plans exist, but execution becomes fragmented, priorities blur, and leaders get pulled back into day-to-day commercial firefighting.

​

SaGe Ascend bridges that gap by working inside the business - not as an adviser on the sidelines, but as an embedded operator bringing structure, discipline and clarity to go-to-market execution.

It’s not about frameworks or theory. It’s about helping the business perform - and leaving it stronger than when I arrived.

The founder

Nathan Wimble

Nathan Wimble is a CEO- and CRO-level growth operator who works best in businesses where things are evolving fast - new categories forming, markets shifting, or growth ambition outpacing execution. Much of his career has been spent inside SaaS, data and insight platforms, and technology-enabled B2B services, including sectors shaped by regulation and compliance such as sustainability and ESG.

Nathan is drawn to complexity rather than polish. Founder-led businesses finding their next phase. PE-backed companies under pressure to deliver. Teams working hard but pulled in different directions. His work focuses on creating clarity where there is noise, alignment where there is friction, and momentum where progress has stalled.

He founded SaGe Ascend to bring hands-on operator experience into businesses at moments that matter - without adding permanent senior cost. Nathan works alongside teams, gets into the detail, and is comfortable having the honest conversations required to move performance forward.
